Gainswave Mercer Island WA Non-invasive Shockwave ED Treatment

WHAT IS GAINSWAVE, I.E. SHOCKWAVE, THERAPY?

GAINSWave, also known as shockwave therapy, uses low-intensity sound waves to stimulate angiogenesis (the growth of new blood vessels), restore aging blood vessels, remove decades of micro-plaques in vessels of the penis and enhance blood flow to the penis. GAINSWave is a specific shockwave protocol that optimizes efficacy, safety, and results.

Kass Precision Medicine AND GAINSWAVE MERCER ISLAND - THE SUPERIOR CHOICE

Having piloted the GAINSWave program with Dr. Gaines, Dr. Kate Kass was the first to bring it to the Seattle Mercer Island area. She and her team have provided more shockwave therapy treatments than any other clinic in Washington State. Kass Precision Medicine uses focused shockwave device that has been approved by the FDA to ensure our patients receive the most effective results. Most practitioners in Washington use a radial device, which is not as well-supported by the evidence.  Kass Precision Medicine employs evidence-based protocols from published shockwave studies.

DO YOU EXPERIENCE ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION?

GAINSWave can be a powerful tool for most men experiencing ED or any declining quality of erections. This treatment is a safe therapy that has been proven to be an effective alternative to other erectile dysfunction medications. If applied correctly, shockwave therapy has shown no serious side effects. Many men report enhanced erections within days of their first treatment.

ARE YOU SIMPLY SEEKING IMPROVED MALE PERFORMANCE?

Most men appreciate the benefits of GAINSWave therapy. If you want to perform your best and increase your sexual satisfaction, shockwave therapy can help.

DO YOU SUFFER FROM PEYRONIE’S DISEASE?

Shockwave therapy is an effective tool that can help reduce scar tissue and diminish the curvature of the penis, both of which are characteristics of Peyronie’s Disease.

“The Gainswave has been very effective as a treament.”

— Tom

GAINSWAVE (AKA SHOCKWAVE THERAPY) - HOW IT WORKS

SHOCKWAVE THERAPY WORKS VIA THESE THREE MECHANISMS:

  1. Many studies have proven that GAINSWave treatment improves endothelial function (strengthening the lining of the blood vessels) and stimulates the growth of new nerve tissue (neurogenesis) as well as the growth of new blood vessels (angiogenesis). Regeneration of blood vessels and nerve tissue addresses the root cause of ED, resulting in firmer, more sustainable, and more sensitive erections.

  2. High-frequency acoustic waves stimulate the production of nitric oxide synthase within the vessels in the penis. This brings about the dilation of vessels and allows for increased blood flow to the existing blood vessels in the penis.

  3. Shockwave therapy eradicates micro plaques, improving the health of the vessels and increasing blood in the penis, allowing them to dilate and fill with blood. As a result, most men appreciate harder, stronger, and more sustainable erections after only 6–12 treatments. This process of angiogenesis and neurogenesis increases sensitivity in the penis.

“After the first session, I noticed a definite improvement. And then about three months later, I had another round of GAINSWave treatments that just went through the roof. My sensitivity was dramatically higher compared to before, the maintainability was greatly improved…Now I have a sex life with GAINSWave that goes beyond what I had in my 20s.”

— Karl, 63

EXPECTATIONS FOR YOUR GAINSWAVE PROCEDURE

Patients should arrive half an hour before treatment so a numbing cream can be applied. (For follow-up treatments, the numbing cream can be applied at home before your appointment.) During the 30-40 minute procedure, we use the GAINSWave-trademarked equipment and protocol. That’s it! You will have no downtime and can resume your day.

While results vary, 75 percent of men report positive test results following their treatment, with some experiencing a spontaneous erection within just one day.

CAN SHOCKWAVE THERAPY BE PAINFUL OR EMBARRASSING?

For most men - the simple answer is no. This short procedure is pain-free and non-invasive. Dr. Kass and her team have conducted thousands of shockwave (GAINSWave) treatments on patients for ED, and Peyronie’s Disease, and to help enhance sexual wellness. We perform approximately 3–7 treatments every day. She and her staff are experts in ED, and our discreet, professional service ensures that patients feel confident and comfortable throughout the treatment.

“Dr. Kass made an uncomfortable discussion comfortable in the first 5 minutes of my visit. I knew immediately I was working with a doctor who was an expert at treating ED, had prepared protocols and clearly performed many treatments. What I thought was going to be embarrassing or awkward was actually a breeze. The GAINSWave and PRP was fairly painless and Dr. Kass had an excellent bedside manner. I’m noticing some promising improvements 3 weeks into treatments.”

— T.H., Bellevue, WA

SHOCKWAVE THERAPY - IS THERE DOWNTIME FOLLOWING TREATMENT?

There is no downtime following a GAINSWave treatment. We encourage patients to engage in sexual activity soon after the procedure to encourage blood flow to the penis.

“The very same night…it was amazing what kind of reactions it gave me.”

— Ronald from Los Angeles, CA

HOW SOON DO PATIENTS NORMALLY SEE RESULTS?

The process of new vessel formation may take a few months; however, some men report immediate improvement. Because nitric oxide (a vasodilator) is released in the bloodstream during the procedure, many GAINSWave therapy patients even have morning or nocturnal erections on the first day.

“Right after the first treatment, I was engorged. I could see I was bigger. After the fifth treatment, I started to get spontaneous erections.”

— S.L. Florida

HOW MANY SHOCKWAVE THERAPY TREATMENTS ARE NEEDED?

Depending on individual goals, patients typically receive between 6–12 treatments. Kass Precision Medicine offers shockwave therapy preventative maintenance programs in Mercer Island and throughout Seattle to ensure optimized performance and to help maintain results.

GAINSWAVE THERAPY RESULTS - HOW LONG DO THEY LAST?

The effects of shockwave therapy have been medically proven to last between one and two years. One recent European study using Doppler ultrasound imaging showed that patients enjoyed improved blood flow in the penis one year following treatment.

Nearly 75% of men with ED appreciated a reversal of their condition as well as enhanced sexual performance following GAINSWave therapy treatments. Following shockwave therapy procedures, most patients with ED were able to reduce or discontinue their oral ED medications.

Kass Precision Medicine - YOUR BEST CHOICE AS A GAINSWAVE MERCER ISLAND PROVIDER

Dr. Kate Kass piloted the original GAINSWave program with Dr. Gaines. She was one of the few doctors in the U.S. to initially appreciate the potential of shockwave therapy for treating patients with ED. Dr. Kass and her team have performed more shockwave therapy treatments in the area than any other clinic.

Our clinic is dedicated to having a doctor or nurse perform the treatment - as opposed to other clinics where non-medical staff often conduct this therapy.

Kass Precision Medicine brings a comprehensive approach to treating ED and also assists men who simply want to enhance their sexual performance. She spends an average of one hour with each patient during the initial appointment to assess his health history and lifestyle. A comprehensive blood panel is then ordered to ensure a thorough assessment of everything from cardiovascular health and testosterone levels to thyroid function, all of which may contribute to erectile dysfunction.

Patients usually begin their treatments on the first day. We review lab work during a follow-up visit, along with any other variables that may be contributing to erectile dysfunction or whatever other issues they may be experiencing. Depending on a patient’s needs, we often combine GAINSWave therapy treatments with platelet-rich plasma (P-Shot) for optimal results.

THE TECHNOLOGY DIFFERENCE

Kass Precision Medicine uses two kinds of shockwave devices - “radial” and “focused”, which are approved by the FDA for musculoskeletal issues. In excess of 40 studies support the efficacy of shockwave therapy to treat erectile dysfunction, the majority of which employ a focused shockwave device. We employ radial and focused devices manufactured by industry leader Storz Medical, which leverages over 75 years of medical R&D. These are “classified medical” devices and can only be overseen and purchased by a medical professional.

The focused device is a more powerful device that penetrates deeper into the tissue, and the radial device affects shallower tissue. The radial device transmits a wider, shallower beam compared to the focused device which casts a shockwave that is similar to a laser beam. The focused shockwave device, with the support of most of the literature, creates a deeper and more intense response in the tissue - making it most effective at treating moderate to severe cases of ED. Most clinics don’t offer focused shockwave therapy - likely because these devices require higher-level medical providers to operate them (i.e., a doctor or registered nurse) and are more costly. Because Kass Precision Medicine is dedicated to providing evidence-based solutions that are most advantageous for her patients, we choose to offer both radial and focused shockwave therapy.

As soon as shockwave therapy became popular in the U.S., companies began developing sub-par devices, stating that they were capable of treating ED. Many of these devices are even sold directly to consumers and can even be purchased on Amazon! It’s important to recognize, however, that the efficacy of these devices has not been proven, and they should be used with extreme caution, if at all.

“The things I was doing before GAINSWave were Band-Aids and the Band-Aids kept falling off…GAINSWave, as far as I’m concerned, is a far more permanent patch.”

— Michael

GAINSWAVE THERAPY TREATMENTS - SUPERIOR TO OTHER ED SOLUTIONS

GAINSWave may seem almost too good to be true, however, it’s a proven solution.

Shockwave therapy:

  1. Is non-invasive, with little or no known side effects

  2. Is surgery- and drug-free

  3. Addresses poor blood flow - the root cause of ED

  4. Provides long-lasting results with no necessary downtime

  5. Is a straightforward, in-office procedure taking only approximately 20-30 minutes per treatment

“The GAINSWave allowed me to have a firmer and thicker penis and a much quicker erection, much harder erection.”

— Allen

“It’s been incredible. I’ve had a couple of encounters where I felt like I was more erect and more hard than when I was a 20-year-old.”

— Jeff, 61

SHOCKWAVE THERAPY VS ED MEDICATION COMPARISON

With GAINSWave therapy, there is no need to spend a lot of money to constantly refill expensive prescriptions or even take pills. Additionally, men don’t have to suffer from the harmful side effects that are typically associated with oral erectile dysfunction medications. GAINSWave therapy is ideal for men who aren’t able to take oral erectile dysfunction medications, such as men with diabetes, heart disease, or high blood pressure. And, unlike oral erectile dysfunction drugs such as Viagra, GAINSWave can also treat Peyronie’s Disease.
